blue and green or as Casi would call it sky and grass...

All I can say is I would of hated to have to be the tile guy for this one... isn't it gorgeous.
I LOVE this idea of white cupboards with glass doors and then the peek-a-boo blue showing through... genius!

... what's that little pantry door... you want me - you need me - you can't live without me...
okay, okay - you can come live at my house. (This is my fav out of these pics!)

Special touch of shells on the ledge... perfect.

I adore this. Can't you just feel yourself snuggling into this daybed, reading a great mag and glancing up at those beautiful glass bottles... wheres my life:beautiful.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzz..... don't bother me.
i'm dreaming.

Soap is soap... right?

The other day, I called Ben. He was on his way home from work and I asked him to pick me up a list of things from the grocery store.
He is the best! He always does shopping for me and always knows exactly what to buy, what brand and so on. I mean - he has got it down!
So now you'll understand my confusion when this last week he has took two different trips for me and this happened when I asked for Dish Soap...

First trip I got this...and now we have this...Well we decided that the first trip was just a communication error, had a good laugh and I decided I could wait a couple more days.

So... yesterday I put DISH soap back on the grocery list along with a few other things and Pauly and Daddy went off to the store - they are quite the entertainment show for people at the grocery store, so I hear.

They brought me this...Now we have this...and we still have this... I don't think I'll trade him in quite yet because he also brought me a new kind of coffee
to try out and it smells delish!
I'll take coffee over dish soap any day!

Grandma Pattie's Chenille Beadspread

When I was growing up us girls would take turns spending the night at Grandma Pattie's house. We would get to sleep with Grandma and Grandpa would go back to the back bedroom to sleep. Grandma's room is awesome with those curtains that block out the sunlight and it's dark and cold and there are a ton of comfy blankets, percale sheets AND she had a television in her room.

When you're little being able to sit in bed and watch television is super fun! We only had one television in the house and it was in the living room which is actually how I would actually prefer now that I'm an adult - but that is another topic for another day...

Anyhow, my favorite blanket that she had on her bed was the white chenille bedspread. Have you ever seen these? So comfy, soft, heavy and hers smelt good... that smell of material washed up good and stored in the backroom/linen closet. It just smelt good - I don't know I can't explain it but if you know what I mean by that smell of old material you understand. I love chenille blankets! I would trace the little balls of material with my finger and brush my hand back and forth on top of them. So comforting - that feeling.I just called her to ask her what they are called because their name had slipped my mind and she told me I could have one of them! Yay me! So glad my boys can enjoy these chenille bedspreads like I did.

Do you have a favorite blanket? Maybe it is a old denim family quilt, or a deliciously warm flannel blanket that you all cuddle in as you sip hot chocolate and watch Seven Brides for Seven Daughters (Oops! That's hysterical! Thanks ma...) **Seven Brothers- whatever it may be - I'm sure you understand the comfort that a favorite blanket brings to your heart.

Daily Grind

I'm not a coffee connoisseur by no means BUT I love my fare share of coffee! I know what I like and how I like it. AND I have decided that the coffee that I buy is no good! I'm over it - done! Finished! I will no longer be buying the cheap coffee that I do.
Since I had my second son (yes I drink coffee and breastfeed AND I drank it when i was pregnant - bad girl huh!) I've been drinking at least 1 cup every morning. It's my vice, my splurge, my thing.
I've come to realize I think that it is genetic - my Grandma Pattie (I've talked about her before on here) totally drinks coffee like CRAZY! She makes some in the morning, reheats it through the day and if she is feeling particularly lazy the next morning - she doesn't mind reheating it in the microwave again. And boy it is strong! Strong strong strong coffee!
Then you have my daddy-o who, if you go visit him you'll come back with an addiction! He makes his coffee so strong - like cowboy coffee strong! Insanely strong! Grandma Pattie and Dad love sitting around and drinking coffee together and trying to out do eachother. (Dad wins though)
Over Christmas I drank a lot of his yummy coffee and my mama had my half and half there for me, because she loves me like that - and I swear I can't go a day since without it - so yes... it's your fault daddy-o!!!
Anyhow, I'm going to change the coffee I drink and I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions - I don't want to buy super expensive coffee - something in the middle range but still delish!

Feeding my feelings...

I don't think I've yet confessed on here my sweet love/addiction for Gilmore Girls.
If you haven't watched it
YOU ARE MISSING OUT!
Gilmore Girls takes place in Stars Hallow, CT.
It is about a single mother Lorelai Gilmore who is raising her daughter Lorelai (Rory). It goes though Rory's high school years and college years.
It shows Lorelai working for a little place called the Independence Inn and she is working hard to some day have an Inn of her own.
I love it!I love their witty banter -
their quirky addiction to coffee, junk food and crazy movies.
I love how naive and dramatic they both are!

I love that the little town celebrates all of the holidays - and decorates!

& I LOVE LOVE Sookie - we're best friends by the way. She's fun, energetic, cute, LOVE her dimples and she cooks. Girlfriends for life we are...

I've been watching Gilmore Girls via my new friend Jenny. She been bringing me 2 seasons at a time.... (here's the kicker) at church. Now, if that isn't motivating to get yourself organized and make it to church - I don't know what is (tee hee).

& This last Saturday, I finished it.
It's over.
My get-the-kids-to-bed-on-time -
husbands-at-work,
it's all about
"me" time
show.

Why! Why did Rory have to grow up and why did it have to end. Why! Why I ask you?

So now, I've ate a whole carton of this...

Chocolate Brownie Thunder!!!

So tell me, what can I watch now -
what show can fill my Gilmore Girl void I have in my well...
now Chocolate Brownie Thunder ooozing heart?
